But for reals....I figure the Tercel 4WD was just an answer to the Subie DL/Loyale of the day. And if anything is a predecessor to the modern tall wagon (Outback, Forester, CR-V, etc), it may be a Tercel wagon, but it might also be an Eagle product from 10 years prior.

The Panamera is most definitely not a station wagon. You could argue 5-door liftback... But that'd be stretching it.
