I agree minivans can be great for large family's (4+). It' s not insecurity its simply that minivans have too many limitations for a large-ish vehicle for my lifestyle.

This video shows that the technique between drifting and sprint are way different. Just look at how Corey has no idea how to enter the corners or properly slide (not drift) around each corner. Pro drifter, amateur racer (in this application).
I have 2 nitro Rustlers and I have had plenty of dune experience with them, paddle tires make them so torquey you can climb the steepest dunes with ease. Sand is remarkably forgiving, you can launch them so far with little to no damage.
All I'm saying is that it is better to avoid than to join in the madness, whether you are blocking or passing.
