Yellow is nice, but.......

The following scream dealer money:

I tried to phrase it sarcastically, and failed!

I can clear a couple of misconceptions as yes, the car in that picture is actually my car:

For the most part white Ferraris look great, except the Enzo.

It depends on the model. A 4-seater GT like the 456, 612 or FF is best had in colours other than Rosso Corsa (“plain red” in English). The 456GT looks supremely classy in any non-baby shade of blue.

A clutch job on a 360 (or its successor, the F430) is nothing to sneer at. It requires dropping the entire gearbox.

This is plausible, but the management would be idiotic to select tires that are both asymmetric AND directional, to run a gig where tires are consumed like water.

This was known shortly after the accident happened.

That’s a sweet little drive you have there.

You’re going against just about every single journalist’s opinion of this car.

No. These cars were designed wrong/cheaply/carelessly. Their final point of assembly didn’t matter. My B5 Passat built in Germany was as reliable as a German romantic comedy was romantic or comedic.

You seem to understand the Abarth. There is a certain something about a weird, loud little car that numbers cannot describe. I’ve test driven one and it’s got to be one of the best fun-per-dollar buys out there. That exhaust noise belongs on a supercar; it sounds almost as good as an Alfa 4C.

A $25k Mazda MX-5 is a fun car that won’t break the bank.

Converting our comrades, starting with the ones at home!

And nowhere did I say I don’t like non-specialty model cars. Civics are excellent cars and are a more entertaining drive than, say, a Corolla with a CVT.

See if any used Fiat 500 Abarths are down to $10k now. No compact hatch has the right to pop, hiss and burble like an Abarth does. So much fun.

There’s a time and place for everything. Get your F-body (and whatever else you want) after you finish school and start raking in the $$$. You will feel more accomplished that way.

E36 M3? There are several on eBay in the $10k vicinity. They will take some work to maintain, but with the proper homework and due diligence they can be run on a budget.

My wife has zero interest in cars. But, she is willing to let me spend reasonably on hobbies (okay, hobby) that clearly fuel my emotional health. As I would let her.
