I am currently shopping for a truck or SUV for daily driving duty, that will be able to occasionally tow my miata to the track. I also have babies so I need the 4 door model for their car seats. Is this the best bet outside of a $40,000+ full size truck? Is the diesel worth it over the gas v6?

Will you be able to test the towing? I am trying to talk my wife into picking up the v8 Durango so I won't need to buy a truck to tow my car to the track.
