You should probably watch the show. Figure out if you like it, then worry about the show runner. TV works better if you watch the show before you talk about it and your comment asking about Steven Moffat stinks of you trying to make a comment about how you don't like him rather than why you're not enjoying this

Here's what was stupid (and reminded me this was the writer of that horrible In The Forest Of The Night episode)… if the Doctor could reset them by turning it on and off again, then why didn't he do that right away? Why blow the whole city up before you just reboot? It's like throwing your PC away OR trying

Quill is easily the best part of the show. This series some cool moments and ideas, and the acting was better than I expected (it did have that low budget British TV feel though that I always enjoy), but the Shadowkin were a Power Rangers-level villain. They had a decent backstory, but the execution was way too cheesy.

The idea of the mood sensors to check on life support was novel and it was a cool twist that they couldn't handle grief, so they alleviated the feeling by eliminating the feeler. But why they wouldn't have a simple interface to deal with the ROBOTS THEY MADE beats the hell out of me.

Agreed. She had some great moments, but she should have moved on with Matt Smith. Or maybe that false ending from the Nick Frost Christmas special? That would have been a helluva way to go.

Adric's death shocked me as a ten year old. The silent credits, the broken mathematics badge, I was heartbroken. But even then I was annoyed with how he fought with Peter Davison.

I really liked Clara in Asylum of the Daleks and The Snowmen, but it seems like once they changed the original plan for her (as the Victorian nanny), they just kept on trying different characters for her. She was the Impossible Girl and then she was miss bossy pants and then she was an impulsive Doctor wannabe. After

I heard that too. I was actually thinking about Frontios, but I know that's supposed to happen after the sun expands. But since we know about the other Arks and the UK colony ship and those ridiculous fucking star-whales, it seems a little overdramatic to say that it's the future of the whole species!

It was a dumb joke to end the story on a larf. Too sitcom-ish for Doctor Who and it took me out of the episode.

Or you can buy them on iTunes where it's available the next day in HD. I watch it through a proxy because I'm not a fan of the BBC America's placement of commercials and their aspect ratio is sometimes fucked, but I buy each season on iTunes as well because I fucking love Doctor Who and I want to give them my money.

I don't think OCD means avoiding Doctor Who Series 4 (which is mostly terrific), but Torchwood Series 4, Miracle Day (which is mostly crap).

The second series was a big improvement on the first, but a lot of Torchwood was fucking terrible. You take one of everyone's favorite Doctor Who companions (Captain Jack) and turn him into a boring sourpuss, which only exaggerated John Barrowman's acting deficiencies. He's great at sexy funny but he ain't Philip

My bad Jack, I was thinking of Heaven Sent as the some of the best ever and the gothic horror feel of the castle!

Well, Hell Bent is going down as one of the best ever. I'm okay with dodgy effects (that's part of the Doctor Who charm) but I was just really enjoying how the director framed the shots and followed the characters. You could tell they tried to make the cinematography as exciting as the story in this episode and it was

I was thinking that this was the most cinematic Doctor Who we've seen yet. Heather rising from the puddle was some iffy-ass special effects, but a lot of the camera choices were superb.

I respect the fact that you admit to liking Ghost Light. Maybe the novelisation, but the story, as taped, was nonsensical.

I like the idea that Bill is a regenerated Susan.

They thought that Blake was fucking dead. They didn't mention him because he was supposed to be gone until the series finale. He didn't just disappear in the last season, he wasn't supposed to be there until they brought him back for a big shocking ending.

Too bad Class had a horrible story. Decent enough actors (especially the teacher/rebel) but the Shadowkin were way too weak. The teenage drama was great in Class, but the sci-fi was not. I think the AV Club grade was way too kind.

I haven't heard that at all. Everyone I've seen is super excited about a new companion. What forums have you been on so I know which ones I should avoid?
