I live 1:45 away from Watkins Glen. I’ve been there for NASCAR, Indy, and IMSA. IMSA is by far my favorite. Plus everything is more accessible and less crowded.
I’m trying to think of any other form of motorsport that requires such a lengthy primer to understand how a race operates and how the series champion is determined. Maybe IMSA and WEC purely because of the multi-class format, but that seems easy in comparison to this.
I guess that’s why Porsche’s best-selling models are all rear-engined.
