Same, went to evangelical school for K-12. Will never send my kids to one... buuuuuuuuutttttt... our C-grade students would go to the public highschool to get up their GPAs because it was so much easier.

I don’t think that religion and schooling should mix. Ditto for religion and government.

I’m all for people keeping their own damn faith to themselves. Isn’t it pathetic that people hate public schools so much that they’ll send their kids to a fucking catholic school?

In my city the only affordable college prep schools are catholic. If I had a gifted child for whom it would mean a shot at Harvard, or a child who was enthusiastic about formal education, I would consider it. To be honest, I would be grateful for the opportunity the church provides to people who would otherwise lack…

Depending on where you live, Catholic schools offer a much higher-quality education than the local public schools, and sometimes much safer too.

Yeah, I read the headline and had my outrage all locked and loaded and then saw it was a Catholic School and thought “oh yeah, that tracks.” Sure its still shitty, but you did CHOOSE to send your kids to Catholic School so judgement, shunning and hypocrisy are to be expected for anything outside their norms. 

It boggles my mind that people can make that kind of money for such pursuits.

If you find yourself living in a community of assholes, sending your kids to a school run by an asshole, it’s maybe a good idea to find a better community.

Wow. As a Spin alum (#humble-brag: I’m in the March 1998 issue!), I can tell you the disdain for Ivanka over on Lexington Avenue was palpable. Inspired hours of Chlöe Sevigny-caliber eye-rolling. Good memories of a vapid gal.

First and foremost Ivanka had no business holding any official role in the White House. She doesn’t have the intelligence or more importantly the experience to advise or manage anything of importance. Not even close. If any other President did this there would be outrage.

Meanwhile, Tiffany just announced her engagement?!?  This fucking family is just so bizarre.
