Being angry doesn’t make you right. Not really interested in talking to someone can’t form an argument and has to insult people instead.
Here’s one of the times I’m going to disagree with you. If we remove this, I think we lose a teaching moment. It’s better to keep it and put information and context around it - addressing the shameful past of the university and what has been learned, and how their policies/behaviors have changed. Otherwise, just…
This is patronizing and sets a terrible president. There are so many things in this world that upset me. I can’t simply go around smashing them at a whim. Yale and any institution that trucks in or is at the center of (or even at the periphery of) difficult history has to think carefully about what they are doing.
Cool so you’re with me, then! Let’s go ahead and burn every single painting, smash every stained glass window, break every piece of pottery, and bash every sculpture that has depictions of people who were slaves on it.
No! It's akin to book burning honestly... The window should have been taken down and put in a museum at this point...but I don't go around smashing ancient Egyptian panels or ripping out pages from text books depicting Jews as slaves just because it upsets me...
Okay. You don’t want any art that depicts problematic aspects of American history at Yale. Got it.
All I’m saying is don’t assume he’s poor. He’s college educated, had a communications and substitute teaching job before this. He could be broke as a joke, but it sounds bad to assume automatically that someone with his position and of his race is “impoverished.”
Dear god that pharaoh guy is hot. Thought that the whole movie and felt very weird about it.
Should all artwork depicting slavery be destroyed?
All art should be politically correct.
You think people should be allowed to smash any art they deem “problematic”?
Ummm... I mean my university had all kind of paintings in the history building, including some of the holocaust.

My personal favorite was Mitch McConnell: “Hillary has changed her positions so many times it’s impossible to tell where conviction ends and ambition begins.”
No racism? No hatred? Of course she has no place at the RNC.
His campaign is currently paying the women less than the men, and being sued for gender discrimination by a woman. So.
“He has a track record with women that is amazing,” Stone told the room, specifically the way, she said, Trump treats women in business. “He has always paid women what they’re worth and paid them comparably.”
