It could be quite accurate. Historically, the division has been between “conservationists” and “preservationists.” The latter are more like what we now associate with “environmentalism”; that is, protecting nature from rapacious humans. Conservationists, on the other hand, were more about conserving nature for future

75 with fans is just fine. We can go back and forth all day. Someone’s arbitrary idea of what constitutes “professional” attire doesn’t take precedence over numb fingers and toes, not to mention the toll on the environment.

And if you’re not comfortable at 75, you have a medical problem.

It’s so fun to have people who are not doctors and are assuming a totally incorrect temperature tell me that there is “something medically wrong with me” rather than admit that it might be nice to compromise and have both men and women altering their wardrobes for a comfortable, productive and environmentally friendly

That woman is driving me nuts.

have you considered that you could be anemic? idk i heard that was an issue for women.

I grew up in Northern MN where the weather is routinely well below 0 degrees F. I could probably have tolerated colder temps when I lived there but I was also freezing all the time there too, which is why I moved somewhere warm.

i’m sorry but i cannot follow your logic. so if someone feels cold in a 70 degree building, it must be a health or dietary issue, but if you cannot stand a climate a little bit warmer (something that people had to deal with during thousands of years) that is completely normal?

As I have said before several times, my office is at 60.

What’s a jumper? In the US I’m pretty sure it’s something children wear.

People shouldn’t have to carry suitcases to work just because the office thermostat makes no sense.

Looser fitting pants, lighter weight shirts. Leave the jacket at home as well as the undershirt. Short thin weight socks, there are plenty of ways you can wear lighter clothes and still be covered. I saw plenty of men and women in Thailand wearing pants, as well as Puerto Rico, two places where AC isn’t on everywhere

Long johns in the summer. That seems like a recipe for a heat stroke when you go outside.

Umm thanks for the diagnosis but you are not my doctor nor do I have a dietary issue.

Plenty of women, apparently. Hell I would if it was not be considered very unprofessional. Obviously I wear sweaters but that’s not enough and it seems a bit absurd that I should have to wear long johns in the middle of August and sweat to death on my commute. Given the environmental impact of over air conditioning

Hmm maybe it’s because I’m Middle Eastern and am used to people being covered up but still cool but I haven’t run into that problem.

FALSE being cold can be just as counter productive as being hot. This is a myth perpetuated by people who can withstand cold weather.

Anyone who suggests that this air conditioning thing isn’t the most important thing facing feminists today is a pathetic concern troll, and should just stay out of our comments’ section.
