It does go into park when you push it all the way forward. The electronic shifter has detents just just a mechanical shifter. You can feel the clicks in between gears, so shifting from D to P has 3 clicks. Why can’t you people understand that? I’ve used the damn shifter for 2 years and I immediately know if the Jeep

Um, yeah. I’ve been driving a ‘14 Grand Cherokee for the last 2 years, using the dreaded“death shifter” I was describing in my post. I know how it works, I don’t have any problems with it, I haven’t backed over myself yet, and I denied the warranty shifter fix.

Obvious visual indicators like the light on the shifter that has a glowing gear indicator? Or the display on the dash that shows what gear you’re in? Or the “ding” noise and display in the dash when you open the door that says “Vehicle not in park”?? That’s literally four different things that tell you not to get out

Absolutely love this car, but I still have 2 complaints:

1) The carbon wheels look terrible. I get that you have to design them for high strength, but at least add some curve to the spokes if possible. Flat, high offset wheels have always looked lame on any type of car, let alone a supercar.

2) Has nobody figured out

Old Town is actually wonderful to drive through on a commute because most of the lights are timed well.

I was referring to MD-210 (Indian Head Highway) which makes my commute “stop for light, accelerate to 75mph, stop for light, accelerate to 75mph” and repeat at least 10 times. Not to mention ‘fast lane’ has zero

My wife and I both grew up in SoMD and both our parents still live here, so we’re in the area a lot. My wife lived in Chicago and DC for about 10 years total and now doesn’t want to leave the city life of walking to most things. I’d honestly be happier living down here with a larger house, a real yard, a big garage,

Because the answer to the problem is ‘find a new job’ or ‘buy a new house’ and those are both huge life choices.

I live just outside DC and work in SoMD. I have an opposite commute to most people around here, so at least I’m not hitting crazy traffic, I just have a long way to drive (25 miles). I could live in SoMD

Same reason you’d buy a Porsche Macan over an SQ5. The Range might handle a bit better or you might like the design of the interior or exterior better. Or it could be brand loyalty. Who knows? Why the hate? I think it’s a great idea since the Evoque is way too small for much of anything and the full on Sport is

Can you ask why they didn’t put it’s face on the Cherokee?

If you think dealers are going to step in and be the bigger man, you are sorely mistaken. Instead they use this ‘military discount’ as yet another tactic to lower the prices of vehicles on their website. When I went in to buy my current Grand Cherokee, I was told the price was actually $1500 higher than shown online

And as I learned yesterday, when I turn the parking lights on instead of auto headlights (DRL’s still at full brightness), the DRLs do not go off when the turn signal is on.

For the record, I turn on the parking lights on dreary, overcast days when the headlights wouldn’t help me see any better, but I’d like the rear

Apparently my city (Alexandria, VA) is really tired of having Comcast as it’s only ISP and the city council is actually doing something about it. They’ve been petitioning Google and Verizon for years to bring their fiber networks to the city and basically got a middle finger in response. No idea why this is if it’s

If you went on the Jeep site last summer, you might have noticed them promoting the facelifted 2017 WK2 Trailhawk and it’s place in the recent Independence Day movie. Then if you looked at the movie trailer and screen shots in the background, it showed a bunch of pre-facelift ‘14-16 Overlands with grilles painted to

I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee. When the headlights are on, the LED DRL’s are much dimmer. So when the turn signals are activated with the headlights on, both the headlight and the DRL remain on as the signal flashes.

NVH. Ford said they developed the exhaust as much as possible to reduce the NVH from the inherently unstable flat plane crank. But yeah, go ahead andthrow on some crazy snake-style headers and catless midpipe to make it MAD LOUD BRO!

Didn’t Noble offer an Alcantara wrapped roll cage in their fastest cars? Or was that Koenigsegg?

I was driving in a heavy downpour on the DC beltway in a 570whp ‘98 Cobra I had recently purchased, worn drag radials and all. A local cruise to Philly was called off because of the rain, so we were driving to get lunch and go home. I was doing maybe 55 mph in the second to the left lane. Rounding a very slight

I’d recommend theDrive.

Basically the same thing with Jeep. Costs $4500 for the diesel upgrade and you can only get it on the Limited and up. So the cheapest diesel WK2 you can buy is $43k. And that Jeep gets halogen headlights and a 6 speaker stereo because it’s another $3k for the luxury package. But you DO get more exterior chrome
