Paying attention, anticipating changes, knowing how the machine works. Momentum. Either of these cars could out-accelerate, out-brake, and out-handle most cars built in the 70's, 80's and 90's. People these days overcompensate with power because they lack skill.

I went and checked before I posted and they don’t anymore.

I think it could be argued that Mitsubishi dealers in the US sell Mitsubishi vehicles as a side business. The main business is selling used cars from other brands.

In Australia you could get finance on that used mirage for 2-3%, a used car loan starts at ~8%

“It’s not illegal when I do it”

Do those used cars come with a 10/100 powertrain warranty?

I think you hit on something. I have good credit and an excellent credit union. Rates on a New car are 2.58% right now. Rates on a used car are 2.58% as well. So for me, there is no difference between new and used payments for the same purchase price other than I think I can spread out new car payments for 84 months

I saw a viral tweet a while ago that said something like “If your car isn’t a 2019 or newer don’t even talk to me.” That’s a not-insignificant segment of the population too, and a lot of them couldn’t get approved on a stick of gum yet will go get a Mitsubishi or FCA product and get approved on that for 84 months.

This car is as exotic and Italian as Crazy Bread from Little Caesar’s. Just get the MX-5.

This, so much this.

Like I bought my first car, my son will buy his. Kids don’t take care of stuff that is handed to them. He can buy his first car, and every car after that. If he’s saved up $2000 by then and wants to spend it all on a car, then he can. If he has $700, then he can buy something like this. My first car was a $500 car. I

It’s a running car for $700. Run it for a year if you’re lucky with oil top offs every few hundred miles and when it dies sell it for scrap and lose a few hundred on the deal. Cheaper than a rental or a car payment even if you only get a few months out of the deal. NP.

GT3 center lock wheel torque spec is 443lb/ft. The wrench they sell for them is insane, and even then you basically have to stand on it.

I just want to say THANK YOU for not just stopping the article after you learned that the myth was untrue, and actually digging in and answering the next logical question that readers would have. It would have been very easy to just write another hundred or so words’ worth of fluff and then call it a day, but you went

I’ve always loved the Honda Pacific Coast.  If the bike was fuel injected I’d own one now.

How about instead of old comfortable cars that are rusted out and have no warranty today, what car, about 2017 or newer, can I buy that is comfortable like a 40 year old land yacht?

That is cheating!

Toyota Century

you’re still stuck with a colossal idiotmobile that rides like a truck”

At least, since it’s based on the RAM, it has a coil spring suspension. I’m sure they could soften it up with new springs so the ride isn’t as bad.
