No from what I remember the study took 2 groups of people who hadn't read a book or heard of the book. They told one group the spoilers like what would happen and the other group they didn't tell them anything, and the group who knew what would happen found it more enjoyable.

Yeah except they do keep adding stuff and fixing stuff, I've spent over 100 hours on the game and that seems like a very cheap price for 100 hours compared to most other games.
