Icon builds some goddamn beautiful vehicles...that are way more expensive and a tiny bit nicer than what you could build in your garage if you had the money and time. A fool and his money...

This! The Apollo is a seriously badass car with a kill-you-if-you-look-at-it-wrong attitude. I love that car.
If the CVT is anything like the one in the Prairie 700 I’ve ridden, I fail to see how it would be a bad thing. You literally can’t even tell it’s there; there’s just power, torque, and speed at any RPM.
It sounds so much like an F1 car! That is nuts. Hard to believe it came from the same Honda we know today.
Two tons is 4,000 pounds. I think you got your math wrong.
They’ve gotta do something with the lights in the middle. Either shape them differently or take them off altogether. Then you have a pretty decent looking car.
Wow, that’s a good reason for me to never buy a new car unless I’m loaded. $500 a month, for a minivan?! Holy shit.
Ahh, that explains a lot. I thought you were making like $20/month payments for over a decade!
You’re still making payments 13 years later?
Seconded! The 4.3 was derived from the 350, which is why it sounds like it does. People ask me somewhat often if my truck has a V8 and I just tell them, “Nope, 4.3 with a good set of pipes.”
Shicks? LOL
One horsepower per pound? Check. Sanity? Negative, ghostrider.
You, sir, are an asshole. Please take your negativity elsewhere if you don’t have anything nice to say about anyone else’s builds. Let’s see you submit something you built that is good enough to get its own story.
Ugliest Ferrari ever made? Yup.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Take the old tank out and put some bullet holes in it as payback for preventing you from going through with your plan. If you do end up rotary-ing a ‘Vette, I want to see it! I personally prefer them with a V8 myself, but I must admit your idea has piqued my curiosity.
As long as it’s a ‘73 or later, have at it!
Probably the minority opinion here, but in the grand scheme of ugly cars, you could do much worse than a California. The new ones actually look pretty decent and they’re not supposed to be bad to drive either. Clickbait article.
My ‘93 S10 takes 4 shifts (up to 5th gear) to hit 60 mph and first gear redlines at 15 mph. Guess it’s not a sports car...or a car.
Where the early cars are concerned, that reaction is fully justified. They are fugly. The ‘04 cars and up, I think they have potential. I would love to see one with a V8! I also just found out that there were only two generations of Tiburon before it became the Genesis.
Maybe so, but I have always liked the third gen cars (for some reason that even I don’t fully understand myself) and hers is done up a little bit. It’s yellow with a black hood and black wheels. It honestly doesn’t look bad.
