I just finished watching the whole series for the first time a few weeks ago, and the episode where Broyles accidentally ingested LSD was one of the many things that sticks in my memory from the show. Funny, touching, and vulnerable all at the same time.

Cool! I can immediately dismiss this list because the first slide is Robert Altman’s amazing live action Popeye movie. Like I’d give you the Prairie Home Companion movie or even though I like it OC and Stiggs but not Popeye.

Bakshi has a great deal of taste, and its all acquired.

I agree attitudes towards animation are mostly broadening, but there’s still a stigma. I know a few (lame) people who wrinkle their noses and say, “I don’t like cartoons.”

Cool World fails because Bakshi had a very specific story planned out (a horror noir set in the world of Dick Tracy/Sin City style crime/detective comics) and the studio mandated that he do a Roger Rabbit knock-off.

I just bought the Blu-ray; if I hate it, you’ve made an enemy for life.

If it was luck then the guy is really lucky because no other studio or producer has been able to pull it off(and many tries over the last decade)

I think Feige deserves the credit he gets. All Disney cares about is the financials, and Feige has built a franchise with 30+ movies that have been financially successful. That’s unheard of in Hollywood history.

Yeah. In any event, it’s a very poorly designed console in terms of its shape. It’s really just terrible, and so much seems like it’s in place to make up for that? Because I’m positive this shape wasn’t for any engineering purpose beyond Sony thinking this is what people wanted. Faux future chic........
