It doesn’t help that these days the used Infinitis are being gobbled up by the poor/bad credit crowd and subsequently get plastered with Pep Boys stick-ons. If I’m dropping $60K on a car, not exactly the type of other owners I’d want to be associated with.
Me thinks it also probably has something to do with Norwegians being smart enough to look before walking out in front of moving vehicles too. And I suspect they have a lot fewer mentally ill homeless people wandering around in traffic. Those are the folks who seem to get nailed with some regularity in my hometown of…
Their zoo is really nice. Better than Detroit’s IMHO.
an “interactive” Jeep museum
I am a firm believer in never modifying the vehicle you rely on to get to work.
I can’t speak for the author, but I’m pretty sure “kindergarten project” just refers to the fact that it looks like something a kindergartner would draw, but go off king.
I’m not sure what’s impressive about it? They used Tech they already developed for the underpinnings and stainless steel like Delorean did 40 years ago?
The Fiesta and Focus were net money losers for Ford. But the bias here prevents people from rational thought.
The average buyer is educated but knows nothing about cars and can’t be bothered to learn, so they went to the dealership and said “I’d like to lease about 15 feet of car, for under $200/mo” and drove out in a new Cruze.
OMG stop the presses!!! Jalopnik just made a huge discovery!!! Let GM and Ford know right now that when they stopped making cars in a segment they will lose buyers!!
As much as we hoot and holler on here about sedans this and brown cars that, market trend shows just the opposite. Crossovers out sell sedans 4 to 1. Data clearly shows regular people don’t want what jalops want so that’s what we get. Hell, even the best selling sedan (Camry) in America is now being out sold by its…
“Daddy made mommy self conscious about her weight by gifting her a stationary bike for Christmas, and now she’s a narcissist monster that insists we watch all of her Instagram stories of her on the bike as a family on the living room television.”
I don’t remember that one, but it likely made people less angry than that Brooklyn kid saying “what’s a computer?” last year :D
THANK YOU! I’ve been telling anyone that’ll listen to me how much I hate this goddamned commercial. Why is she recording everything? Why is she nervous? Why is she making her husband watch her videos?
I get angry every time I see the house in the GMC commercial with the couple in their late 20s/ early 30s living in a million dollar modern mansion and he buys them matching GMCs because her matching watches for the hell of it. Who is this supposed to appeal to?
I hate how aspirational this commercial is.
Here’s the reality: most of these Pelotons will end up being coat racks — like so many NordicTracks and Bowflexes before them.
Holy moly, I thought I was the only one bugged by this commercial. It’s a bike. Why are you freaking out? Why are you documenting every workout? Who cares?
