It’s bizarre. I have friends with a 2013 or so Focus with automatic. They actually think it’s fairly normal. But the transmission judders like crazy when used to accelerate gently. I’m willing to bet it shifts okay if given the beans.

“always will be.”
Oh, so 40+ years ago. Lol.
Uh, which case was this? Cause the most famous example of that was the GM ignition issue, which was, of course, GM not ford.
I’ve said this before in other HOA related threads: I’ll take 10 David Tracy’s over one meddling, self-important, busybody with delusions of grandeur. DT would roll up his sleeves and help you out in a pinch, while the HOA needledick would be writing up citations for whatever the issue is.
So live just outside the populated area, problems solved.
Can I finance it for 144 months at 12% APR if I trade in a wrecked Dodge Dakota?
You know you’re ruined when you look at a Jeep Liberty and say “yes, that is a step up from what I’m driving right now.”

Completely agree, but if you are driving a Tesla you better believe they are already monitoring the hell out of your driving.
It’s always easy to tell which assholes are driving around with those little safety monitors plugged into their OBD ports. I’ve considered doing one of those programs to lower my rates but then I realized that actually driving safely is probably something those monitors would poo-poo. “Oh, this guy gives it the beans…
I think this is a ploy for raising capital while hiding loses. Look, I’m growing the business! We have so much potential! Get in now, vs we can’t make any money on our core business and we need to keep raising money.
Goose the engine once at a stop light and your next premium payment will be through the roof.
Nobody should sign up for Tesla’s insurance if they plan to goose the engine even once at a stop light. Tesla basically monitors all of your driving, like those optional programs with other insurers only worse. The second you step out of their acceptable driving parameter they’ll jack up the rates even higher than the…
Wait, why doesn’t Tesla just sell that data to insurance companies instead of setting up a new business unit for a product they have no experience in?
Is it just me or does the Tesla symbol look suspiciously like an IUD?
Tesla insurance: We’re only a few billion dollars short already, so trust US to gamble on your ability to drive.
... neither of which are required to be public info.
A million dollars isn't that great anymore
