In what metric is it not class leading? Or are you referring to MT trying to say it was a shoddy attempt on a old model refresh? Is it ground breaking for the segment? Nope. Does it lead in the majority of the areas truck buyers in this segment look for? Yes
1st: In every Jalop post since Ford announced it would be cutting out cars, it always tries to point that gas prices are going to screw them. For the love of God stop already! This isn’t 2008 all over again. If gas goes to 5 bucks a gallon people aren’t going looking for Geo metros. It’s not like Ford doesn’t have a…
Ford had the option to use the 10 speed. DCT performed better....period.
I thought it was fixed 20 years ago. I was surprised this was still an issue.
I really don’t understand the Tacoma at all. It is the leading seller for midsize pickups. I knew it had really good resale value. I then found out that they still have frame issues. Yes, the same frame rot issues that have been going on for about 20 years. If this is still an issue in states that salt the roads or…
Yeah, it’s because Acura’s aren’t true luxury cars. They are living on the Honda quality and luxury reputation from the 90's. Don’t tell that to the thousandaires that think they are something special because of the badge.
You sound like a poor! Just for that I just bought the largest Escalade I could.
You’re a little off. Adding to what others have said.
Wall Street Slot Machine? Yes, they want a bigger payout on that 20 dollar gamble.
Why does this not look like the same kid?
Merkur for the USA!
There will be a new Escape on dealer lots in 9 months. Hybrid as well.
So for an extra 15 a month, you could get a base CR-V/hrx with way more room, storage and higher seating position with 34 mpg
Agree 100%. This narrative needs to stop. For 1000 difference in price when buying new, nobody is going to let roughly $15 bucks a month stop them from getting more space and a higher seating position. That’s taking into account a marginal fuel difference between the two (less than 200 year).
This just feels like a hail mary. They doubled down on making great track cars in race to compete with the Germans. All while being complacent with the CUV market. The only thing that kept them alive is the Escalade and XTS. Their worst driving models.
Just stop with this non sense. So for a few hundred dollars/year sell my functioning CUV to a tiny car, only to pine for the extra space. Maybe in your world but not in the real one.
I’m fully convinced he’ll find a buyer in the Chicago area and make at least 80k on it. There are a lot of stupid rich folks out here.
Shhhh! Don’t tell that to the folks at Orange Theory, which is appropriately named.
