Every quarter miss expectations. Yet, every quarter people keep saying just wait. How long does this have to happen before they realize that while the car is great, Tesla has no idea how to run automobile manufacturer. It’s the definition of insanity!

To senselessly burn through their investors money because this will grab a headline. There will be no program in Portland because this will be a giant failure. I wonder if the friends of lyft employees will be the ones giving up their cars and cashing in on this? But it’s not their cash so why do they care?

1st: I read the Bloomberg piece, I think it’s a bit one sided. Ford and GM are producing what people want in CUV’s. Trying to extrapolate what the market will be like in 5 years is foolish. A year ago did we really think we were ACTUALLY going to get into a trade war with China.

The US won’t get this version of the Raptor. We will just get the Ranger this year. In a few years, will we get a next generation Ranger that will give us a new Ranger Raptor that will be available in the US.

I wouldn’t put this so much on Hackett, yet. A lot of the problems that Ford has with it’s current products/lack of direction was created by Fields. Having products like the Escape, Focus, and Explorer rotting on the vine with older platforms with little updates was a Fields cost cutting move to make Wall Street…
