That sounds amazing. I went to Mexico City around Day of the Dead this year and visited a couple of markets and a few very tiny (delicious) restaurants and had some of the best food ever. It’s made me want to explore more and more of Mexico.

God the rage I would have for that woman. I cannot FATHOM being so blind that I didn’t see that my kid COULDN’T DO BASIC MATH OR READ and that it was my fault pretty much entirely.

Women do so many small things for men that they miss immediately and so naturally they need to find another woman mother to ease their way through life.

I can’t fathom the thunder that would have rained down upon me had I ever tried to eat sans utensils after the age of about 5. Holy hell, what is happening?

I bought my first two cassettes (with my own money!) when I was about 7. They were Van Halen’s 1984 and No Jacket Required and I have no regrets.

It’s episode 11 “Featuring the Man Whose Floor I Peed On w/EJ Wolborsky.”

It is the most low tech theme song ever and I too get it stuck in my head. The episode with the guy whose floor she peed on made me snort with laughter on the Metro like a crazy person.

I LOVE Nicole Byer. Her podcast “Why Won’t You Date Me?” is also pretty great. So happy to see her popping up in more and more places.

The long version of this lady trying to clean while being thwarted at every turn by pandas is one of my feel-good go-to videos.

He’s a goddamned delight. He’s the perfect example of good sportsmanship too...he cheers hard as hell for his teammates, they all seem to be cheering like crazy for him and he’s out there having the time of his life. It’s really a joy to watch.

The Last Podcast on the Left guys just did a 5 part series on Jonestown and the Peoples Temple. It’s an incredible listen (though 8-10 hours long, so be prepared). I knew about the massacre, but not that much about the rest of the group’s history. In part because it’s very well researched and in part because of the

Anything that would take a few hours to braise in the over you can do in about 30 min or less of pressure cooking time (double that to account for heat up and cool down). I’ve made a great beef barley soup, a sweet potato/kale/kielbasa soup, a Tuscan chicken soup and baby back ribs. The ribs were super easy...just put

As someone who recently broke an 1970's era crock pot and replaced it with an Instant Pot, the IP is pretty magical. The best thing about it is that it has a high heat “saute” setting, so instead of having to brown beef on the stove, then put it in the crock pot to cook for hours and hours to make beef stew, you put

I get the sense that all 6 were involved in the decimation of the first pan but perhaps only a couple were around for the coverup. I’m not sure my Uncle has eaten fudge ever again.

I woke up in my friend’s apartment after a night of heavy partying. There were a few of us still there, the room reeking of weed and stale beer and it was HOT. Gross, humid “why is it 80 degrees at 9am in April?” hot. Anyway, I didn’t feel good so I go into her bathroom, debate vomiting, decide to pee instead. I flush

My Mom, her two siblings and their three first cousins came home to a partially eaten pan of fudge one day and kept eating and eating until they realized they were going to get in trouble for how much fudge they’d eaten. Being kids of the 1950s with very little supervision, they decided the best course of action would

Rochester, NY

I saw her open for Peter Murphy (yes, the goth icon) at a firehouse that held maybe 700 people in 1995, right as her first song was starting to get airtime on my local independent radio station. She was by herself (no band) and she was wonderful. It’s one of my favorite memories because my friend picked me up from my

I really hope the Karyolyi days are over (no more ranch), the program cleans house and that USA gymnastics ends up more successful than ever. I feel as though the women who have excelled in that program have done so despite enormous obstacles (aside from the usual obstacles to becoming an Olympic athlete, such as
