I think it'll be a standard but not THE standard. Most casual computers simply do not need a full blown OS. Give them an iPad and they could be happier then shit.
I've talked to two people that bought the Dyson DC23 and they hate it. They both complained about the same thing. They can't vacuum an entire room without having to empty it. Larger rooms they're emptying it at least 3 times.
