This price is the “We aren’t ready to sell it” price.

It’s so the dealer doesn’t sell it so they can keep it for test drives.

In most situations, a star for you.  But in this one, no.

I want to know if those are your Cheerios in the second picture

It is a pretty cool feature to see an outsider actually learn how American roads work and to go through the process of adjusting. I like it. I’d like to see the reverse too, someone from America taking one of the European tests too and writing about those differences. Just a suggestion for the Ed.

Ya know, I’ve been an avid jalopnik reader since 2007. I keep seeing these whiney comments about how jalopnik is going downhill and I’m calling bull shit. There was a time there a few years ago when jalop sort of lost its way and a lot of great writers left and the focus went to mediocre reviews with some David

Yes, but his license required him to drive on the wrong side of the road :)

He could legally drive a car. Just using a foreign license which is limited in time (depending on the state) before you have to get your US license.

The Audi is owned by a single person, you see. One owner!

Sorry, man. Good to know you’re not in orbit.

Reminds of that time on the playground where we got the merry-go-round going at a pretty good clip and then that one kid (what was his name?) flew off. Lord only knows where he landed. Never did see him again. Maybe we did launch him into orbit. Huh.

I’m OK with being called an idiot. I was an idiot. I’m also nearly 11 years sober, which doesn’t invalidate my misdeeds but at least shows that I did, in fact, address my alcoholism.

I am, to my shame, a 2-time loser. And as such, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that no system exists outside of full automation that can keep drunks from driving while also not screwing over normal, rational drivers at the same time.

Damn dude. You really like Jeeps.

The thing about the Jeeps and pickups is they look fabulous here:

I’m assuming Alex works at Mattel. I was there for about 10 years. You can’t imagine the cool stuff that would show up in the parking lots.

Obviously these type of dealership do not believe in long term relationship. They will be the first one to cry over direct selling model like Tesla, which hopefully become more popular down the road.

Asked my sales guy yesterday about this. Said they sell at MSRP and usually don’t get anything in writing, but could get something in writing if I wanted.

Usually, this would feel pedantic but since this is Jalopnik ...
