THIS. i just read this and am enraged. I am somewhere between 5’9 and 5’10. Which isn’t 6’1, sure, but what most people fail to think about is that women tend to reach their full height around puberty. Try being 5’9 in seventh grade in the late 90s! Things you’ll enjoy:

the biggest myth of american fashion is that tall long people have the most shopping choices. If you are a woman over a certain height - especially if you have longer-than-average legs to boot - clothing shopping can be ridiculously hard. Many stores carry clothing that sizes out but almost no regular retailer sizes

And....not everyone is the average? I am 5’9, wear between 6-8 depending on brand and have always considered myself quite thin, but perhaps I’m just a disgusting fatty after all.

there is a difference between ignoring a decent person because you fear confrontation, and intentionally halting cutting someone off because they are way out of line or you’ve already indicated you want to end things.

Added to that, people who ghost don’t care. If you have the capacity to just drop someone, youre probably not the person who sits around worrying about other people’s feelings.

Yes. Because ghosting is like, not a thing that everyone does?? I find people who ghost tend to be repeat offenders and would admit that, but don't really care enough to stop. Would have preferred to read “14 hex potions all women should keep in their desk drawer to ward off workplace harassment.”

Rose has called out misogyny before and it's awesome.

I don’t think it’s a question of them not “really” being women, but more along the lines that their womanhood came after the experience of manhood. that doesn’t make it less valid, but it’s objectively not the same circumstance.

Is there a term for this type of pathological self-fabrication? This chick reminds me of that woman a few years back who made up a story about being a Twin Towers survivor and became president of the survivors network. It was a complete lie, and she ended up getting caught.

their accessories are on point too, especially super trendy / statement pieces ($13 for a necklace that’ll be going to be out of style in a few months anyway = why pay more). plus the layout is less of a clusterfuck than H&M/Forever 21.

factory stores are a horrifying window into how overpriced most retail is, not to mention how store aesthetics and layout is everything.

madewell isn’t cheap, but it’s mostly cheaper than j-crew and like x1000 more on point style-wise.

totes ridic. i’d cried like only 20 some-odd times at that age and my parents basically assumed I had autism.
