The terrifying thing is...if said 14 YO has zero education and no context for understanding your own feelings, it might be. Not justifying josh, but the bigger and scarier thing at play here is that these kids are being raised to be terribly ashamed of and at completely at odds with their own sexual urges. And because

wishful thinking, right?

not to play the conspiracist, but it’s likely that they’ve known about this for awhile and are just now pulling the show now that josh has admitted it to the press. they get to look righteous.

I tried to be respectful. I’m done here. All of your responses have been nothing more than defensive and disrespectful bullying.

I’m not trying to be, honestly. I’m not trying to start an argument or anything, I’m just trying to offer a different perspective, because it genuinely bothers me that you’ve been made to feel this way. Im not trying to say anything insulting and I’m apologize if it came off to you that way. I hope that you’d try to

I’m sorry that you’ve had what seems to be a very negative experience with people with an above-average level of wealth. My point is that cruelty and ignorance are qualities that supersede financial position, and that generalized disdain isn’t any more productive than calling lower-class person “lazy” or

Why? Because they have more money than you, so by laws of universal fairness it’s okay for all of them to be blindly criticized?

Places like this used to donate day-old sandwiches and stuff to the soup kitchen I used to volunteer at in Manhattan. The depressing part was that there were people who went to the soup kitchen ON THE REG with their office ID badges on. Yes, corporate employees were gaming the NYC handout system to get free lunch.

....is it wrong that while watching that episode, when she said she paid of her condo entirely within a few years, that i maybe googled “freegan how-to”?

OMG. KATE! She was the craziest. If I were her boss I wouldn't be so much upset about the reality show thing as much as I would be horrified that my employee might be mentally unstable/a walking cesspool of germs.

I don’t think that’s fair. Cheapness is separate from net worth - there are cheap rich people and there are cheap poor people, just as there are rich and poor spendthrifts. The definition of “rich” is having more income or worth than you are spending or can spend, and that’s totally relative. She wasn’t right to say

This is what gets me about “cheap-living” folks who cite living off handouts as part of their secret tips for thrifty living. Getting others to pay for your life does not mean you’re financially savvy, it means you’re a mooch.

Living on a $20,000 trust fund is like living on less than a year’s worth of welfare.

It ranges. You can get a basic manicure for as low as $8. The average Korean street spot runs about $10-14. It’s cheap because NYC has so many salons, but the quality is also very low. When I lived in Chicago it was actually cost more, but it felt like I was getting the star treatment.

It’s not a fix, but this is why I personally only patron salons that work boutique-style - places where you have a real relationship with the owner and there are only a handful of technicians/artists. It is pricier than cheap-thrill labor camp spots. But the fact is that manicures are a luxury item, not a necessity.

This might be the best possible time to admit my greatest secret: i don’t like beyonce.

Because the people on the receiving end of this money set very problematic examples. Specifically Floyd Mayweather, who has a horrendous history of domestic violence.

THISTHISTHIS.

i dont understand those people, usually old stuffy relatives, who insist on buying you something off a registry (which only exists for their sake) rather than thinking about what you actually need because it doesn’t feel ‘polite.’ I’d rather have no gift than 20 versions of the same weird crap I’ll never use.

you had me up until “cd.” A++++ but if someone gave me a cd i’d be like “nice” then download the songs a playlist and throw that shit out.
