The training and the videos are dumb and don’t work. As shitty as it is, for sexual harassment training to be effective, it has to hit men on an emotional and personal level. I don’t know how we do that, though, because I don’t know how to make an overgrown frat boy stop thinking of women as sexual objects whose sole

All women should divest from Lena. She is gross.

I have to drive an hour to see it :(

I always take off my shoes at work, but almost always slip them back on if leaving my desk. When I’m the only one in my area, I do walk to the printer barefoot or even put my feet up on my desk. At my old job I had a pair of slippers I kept at my desk for this, so I may do it at this one now that I know people more. I

This just goes to show that if you pick your victims right, they will keep quiet. That must have been so traumatic for a 14 yr old to experience that it’s no surprise he never said anything to anyone.

there is no religion in this. yes, there is a good place and a bad place, but that’s kind of it. it’s got some moral philosophy going on as part of the plot line, but it’s part of the joke.

it’s on nbc.com

yes. absolutely yes.

I AM OBSESSED! I binged every episode this past weekend and am stoked for tomorrow night. I’m recommending to everyone.

This! When I get my next dog, I plan to go through a rescue that fosters. They tend to have a better sense of the dog’s needs and personality, meaning it is going to be a much better fit.

This is why my parents got a 2 yr old dog from the shelter a few months ago — she is such a cuddle bug and her personality matches what they were told because she wasn’t an ever-changing puppy.

Service Dogs — like, the one legit reason to breed animals for temperament , size, skill etc.

I hung out in a certain punk band’s chatroom, which caused me to meet people who would introduce me to the underground punk/indie/riot grrl must scenes, and forever change my life. I also met my first love in that chatroom, who I was online friends with for 5 years before meeting in person on my first day of college.

I clicked and she looks nothing like her.

Also, puerto rico.

I, too, am a fed with a lot of public-facing portions of my job. I had someone recently tell me I was committing treason because I told her that my office did not have the means to enforce the Constitution, just the very specific statutes we were created to enforce, so the oath kind of makes me laugh a little.

ugh I hated living with my parents for a year after law school when looking for a job. super appreciate their generosity and the privilege of being able to do that, but when you haven’t lived at home for more than a few weeks at a time since you were 17...yeah.

Do you really want your judges thinking, “Is this going to piss off the public?” when they make a decision? I don’t. One successful recall is all it takes to make that happen.

I can vouch for SIREN. Up until this year I spent several years working at a local non-profit partner of theirs. They are very awesome and do great work. I’m tossing some cash towards this fundraiser.

And JTA, I really do think this judge is disgusting and probably has a deep belief that women are partially to blame for sexual assault. But the reason you see the legal community pushing back at the recall effort is because we cannot and should not recall judges when we don’t like their decisions. This sets a
