Yeah Chris Rock’s politics have always been kind of lazy. I’m fairly sure he was in the ‘give Trump a chance’ crowd after 2016.
Honestly, Chris Rock’s opening monologue really pissed me off. It was 90% just the same old “the government doesn’t work” crap that fails to realize that the government failing to work, especially these days, is primarily the result of one party doing absolutely everything they can to prevent the government from…
Who else scrolled down to see what he had to say about DPS and was sorely disappointed?
This isn’t going to be news to anybody, but journalistic standards of objectivity are completely incapable of dealing with the situation in which the White House is occupied by a liar and a con man. Entire generations of journalists have been trained to assume that both sides of any issue are occupied by people…
There are sooo many baby-shitters out there who are so tired of doing the job of parenting they never fully took seriously before and have their cold little hearts set on shipping their monsters off to the underpaid baby sitters more commonly known as teachers. Guess what? They are on to you and they want none of this…
I get the feeling Ligotti’s enjoying a good told-you-so moment looking at all this.
Glad to see someone else enjoying (mentioning, even) Thomas Ligotti. Once I picked up Songs of a Dead Dreamer several years back, I was hooked.
He seemed decidedly not guilty before, and filing a lawsuit for something that clearly sounds like defamation doesn’t somehow make him seem guilty now.
Man, her name is unfortunately so close to that one dude who faked being attacked.
Anyway, man, I had high hopes for Peele’s horror work but after “Get Out”, “Us” was a bust and “Twilight Zone Season 1" was pretty boring all around. And that I was excited for more than anything. But I guess I’ll give TZ a pass since I…
“an actor of Lazenby’s stature”
Big screen theaters are going to be a novelty soon. In some ways it sucks but in other ways it makes movies more accessible to people who can always get to a theater.
Yeah the first new season in particular felt so manic that it was off putting . The couple movies I caught in the last season were better and they were very slowly finding their groove, but the best lines still didn’t have enough room to breathe.
I disagree though: some episodes I actually felt the old magic. “Mac and Me” in particular was:
It just didn't work, I feel like everyone kept talking over each other or just kept talking. There was rarely ever a pause and that hurt the comedy.
Don’t forget Baby Billy touching those naked thugs with a mannequin hand.
Ohh shit, I didn’t know Goggins was in on this! What a delight that good man is.
I can’t believe this review left out the best bits of the episode. Eli throwing what I think was a baked potato through the rival churches window (that was a hell of a throw!) and then coming to rescue Baby Billy from the the thugs with his gold plated handgun, then sending them out bare ass naked into the Mall.
