But where's his scrotum?!!!!
Where's his scrotum???!!!!!!!!

Ginn's stuff with Good For You is pretty similar to In My Head-era Black Flag. Saw them live with the Ron Reyes Black Flag and Ginn's riff were pretty blazing, but Vallely is such a douche-like presence that it's a buzzkill. But hey, I guess get used to it because Good For You's lineup = 100% same as new Black Flag

Lawsuit papers are in the mail.

Whelp, the last sprinkle of glitter in this turd is gone.

haven't heard this, but the original Everly Brothers record is amazing. It's the link between the Louvin Brothers badass country harmonies and Simon and Garfunkel style sixties folk harmonies.

"it was almost ludicrous that Alicia and co. achieved their goal of rescuing an informant in 12 hours"

Hey, that new Honda Civic will really help them get over this.

Supercharger! Holy shit haven't thought about that trashy masterpiece in a while. Both their records were really the height of sloppy rocknroll catchiness. "Sooprize package for Mr. Mineo" will be running through my head all day now.

"his father’s friends—some of whom, bizarrely enough, were the basis for characters in Cormac McCarthy’s novel Suttree".

I think it would be a great option for Tom to go the Marc Maron route and create a Premium App with a subscription fee. I think he will carry a large enough audience with him that the amount he could earn (from ad sponsors as well) would make it possible continue the show.

Shows like this make me think of the rod blagojevich scandal in which it was a HUGE deal that he said vaguely that a position was "worth something." In this show people constantly shout bad-ass wheeling and dealing speeches at each other like it's a common thing. I think in reality the subtext of that mentality

Just started watching it this weekend. Help me out, fellow av-ers: is it just me or does the show have a conservative slant- like making teacher's unions out to be the bad guys? I'm not far enough into it to be able to tell, but it seems so far to have a "brave man against the evil unions" tone to it.

Also was great for Lyonne's shout out to Toby Dammit by Fellini, which I had never seen before. I looked it up on Youtube and got blown away.

Will second the love of Pork magazine, which is also helping to promote and bring lots of great Burger Records related rocknroll up Oregon way.
There's also a great zine collection out there called Scam which is my favorite zine read ever. It's a wild handwritten mess that serves as a diary of these squatter

Duff has some great cred too coming from the classic hardcore Seattle punk band The Fartz.

Isn't there a band out there that delivers that sweet Laurel Canyon sound? Can't seem to recall their name…

Am always surprised that, for having been in a band with one of the all-time notorious dicks of the 20th or 21st centuries, Slash is such a nice unassuming guy. His Conan appearances are always great, and also saw this show once where he jammed with a high school marching band and he was clearly having as much fun as

Man oh man was it a sign of things going south when Ginn put C'el in there.  From Dukowski to Kira makes some sense cuz Kira had a lot more precise attack while still sounding badass.  C'el's style was barely passable by even high school punk band practicing in the basement standards.

He's about to have a Nervous Breakdown
There's no way he can ask the Judge fix him or fix his head
Now he's going to explode he's had it
He's just gonna go get wasted
Ginn's really jealous again of Rollins
He'll have to try and get revenge
Lost so bad it's like he's a white minority
The court really has no values
You can bet

Yeah, there was even a random thread about the 90s a while back and the first thing I thought about was my hatred of Candlebox.  I still remember hearing that tape for the first time in my friend's car and just thinking "Really??  How does this shit even happen?"  The name, image, and sound all indicate it was a total
