Man, I just saw the Ginn version of Black Flag and it was awesome.  Dude is a guitar genius and really brought it.

Or where is the evidence that anyone else "adopted" this technology? It's just a general description of a stacking and unpacking action.  Their description in the patent is so broad that Aurora Boreanaz's restaurant analogy from above seems to really apply here.  Or it would be like trying to patent the idea of

Just to warn the rest of this thread - I invented the idea of typing comments onto a computer when I was messing around with my parent's Commodore 64 in 1982.  All new comments should include a link to their personal bank account or face legal action.

If you're into the instrumental hip hop/electronic/whatever thing you should def. check out his record Lineage which is fantastic.

In related news, that new Shannon and the Clams is fucking phenomenal.

Whoa.  Just watched this on amazon, and the "cult tape" easily makes the whole thing worth it.  The entire film is entertaining, but man that cult segment finds the right note and just bangs the hell out of it.

He prefers penissary contact with a volvo, though.

I observed some of the police practices that lead to the 99% rate of black and latino arrests as well…
Actually came during my time living in Portland, for about 10 years from the late 90s to mid 2000s.  During this time Southeast Portland was an almost entirely white section of hippies and hipsters, and Northeast was

Yeah, there is a weird crack-like quality to it that can be a super guilty summer pastime.
Also, if you ever find yourself with a lot of time to kill- the UK version of Big Brother, which does a whole hour episode for EVERY DAY in the house, is a weird and fascinating ride.  There is no voice-over narration or mash-up

Oh, man that was a bad moment.  My high school years encompass the early-mid 90s, and for the first couple years it was an great time to ride around in friends' cars, because there was usually a Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc. tape playing on the stereo.
Then at the start of Junior year, I was in this girl's

Probably a lot of folks (myself included) already loved Matt Berry from "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" and were ready to love him on this show also.  His whole "Faaatherrr" cartoon-ish entrance is really a close carry-over of his character from Darkplace.  I can see what you're saying about being a bit out of left field

Kaufman's appearance on Letterman, when he switches from sword swallowing into a perfect rendition of Whitman's Rose Marie, is one of my favorite tv moments of all time.

Goblin did, however, fit him like a flesh tuxedo.

"Fundamentally, they taught me a lot about song structure and chord sequence. "
So true.  As a teen I sat down with the "It's Alive" album and practiced by ear until I could play along with the whole concert.  Ramones songs are really well composed and they are not just three chords - there are tons of 4th and 5th

Good point- there are a lot of British reality shows floating around on Youtube that are of a pretty funny and fascinating slice of life style.  There is a great one called "Come Dine With Me" which is just about people who make dinner for each other and hang out together.  It's totally addicting and seems to reveal a

D'Angelo and Myles McNutt should helm a new column together called "Sucking the Joy Out of Life Via Obsessive Plot Charting".

This is COMPLETE BS.   If Ginn wants to hold weird imaginary grudges that everyone else has long forgotten, then fine.  If he wants to form a band with a born again Christian singer who was only in Black Flag for a few months, then fine.
But why attack the guys who just love the music and would've loved to play with

Oh man, The Corvette Song is like a great big smile laid down on wax.

Wine Colored Roses is an awesome George Jones record.
For vinyl heads out there- George Jones records are one of the true pleasures of having a turntable.  If you see a Jones record, just buy it - all eras are great.
Wine Colored Roses is a great example of an 80s era George Jones record that kind've got overlooked

Way way after the fact wanted to thank you for the 360 Waves rec.  Had never heard of it and am a big Alchemist fan… have had it on loop for like a week now.
