Seems like any company caught violating SOPA would start hosting in other countries, causing all of the US-based hosts to go under. Then they can outlaw hosting US content in other counties, causing everyone who wants to host content to move to other countries. Then the only people left in the US would be the

You left off the easiest option of them all: OpenDNS FamilyShield. It's different than their standard offerings in that it's set and go. You don't even have to create an account or worry about dynamic IP addresses. And you can put it on your kid's phone, too. At least with Android, you can use SetDNS and FamilyShield,

I still use it on my phone, but on my tab I use ADW because Launcher Pro has no way to lock the home screen in landscape mode. I could do without the honeycomb support, etc, but the tab begs to be in landscape.

I first typed "Launcher Pro is dead except forum moderators claim it isn't," but I opted for the more diplomatic approach.

If Rdio could get their act together and let you put albums in a playlist - and/or another way to play a ton of stuff on random without having to add one song at a time - then I'd reconsider it. I would also miss being able to play local music, even if that's only a handful of albums for me.

I'm not seeing Linen on Zedge.

You might try a different launcher. Unfortunately, the development of Launcher Pro has stagnated in the last 6 months or so and might not pick up again. You might try ADW and see if it treats your phone better. If I were you, I'd even try Lightning Launcher, which has fewer options (but does do text only or icon

This is exactly what I was wondering, although I'm sure they still store most things in ini files (eg rotation). That's the main reason I have switched to shotwell for photo organizing.

Nitro PDF, fyi, is on sale because that's version 6 and version 7 just came out.

You mean tax help for students, or just ways for students to save money? I guess both could be interesting articles, although the former is pretty straight-forward depending on why you're in school (most college kids are dependents who pay no income tax).

You should call them and see if you can split up the payments. Most doctors will let you pay in increments as long as you're paying a minimum - just be sure to ask them what the minimum is. And it's incredibly rare for doctors to charge interest, too, although hospitals will. Just call and ask; they will probably help

For that HP printer, Staples has it for $130 instead of Office Max's $200. Staples also has the higher-end (uses the heavy duty toner) P2035n for only $225.

Great list, but some of the links are pretty outdated. I glanced at the tricking out wordpress link; two years is a very long time in software years, and I wouldn't recommend a fair amount of what's recommended there.

I think you'd use another app on the list: virtualbox.

This strategy hurts more than it helps, because it's just shifting. You then have to remember to shift your income or expenses every other year to make up for your one nice year.

Anybody tried DeskSMS by clockworkmod? Seems like it does a lot of what google voice does.

I only wish I could get my office more hooked on email. It would save me a ton of time in wasted phone calls, mails, faxes, etc.

Buckwheat hull is the only way to go. They work for your back or your side, and they stay cooler, too.
