I don't recommend Akismet to my clients, and I think it's a negative that they bundle it with every install - just like windows comes with IE and forces people to use it. Spam Karma was a *much* better spam plugin, and they've driven him out of business (and it is a business for WP, which makes money off of Akismet's…
@infmom: You don't need the plugin anymore. WP has built-in upgrading.
@wox42: No chance with google bloatbar. I can't believe they're still pushing that crap.
@primer: firefox does search this page without *any* extra keystrokes, and doesn't require losing valuable screen real estate.
@dekushrub: Yeah, it's different every time, but it's all indie rock.
It doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe I'll try it again in a few days or weeks.
The in-browser addon feature only seems to work if you have the bookmarks toolbar open, which I can't imagine doing.
@knoxjon: Much better.
@UKStevieB: Waiting patiently for correct invite code.
@jeremycobert: Not a fan of Intuit or their products, and I'm an accountant. I'd like to close my account, too.
@rcorrino: I'm ready for my $5 back, too. I'd accept store credits.
I prefer not getting notified of anything. If I want to know of new email, eg, I'll look. I used to want to know immediately, but now I don't want to get distracted all of the time by minutiae.
I've never had a problem with it. I don't usually sign up for things that look that sketchy.
@brianblank: That would be nice. That's the only thing lacking.
SmugMug - mostly because they rock for photo sharing, so it makes sense. But they also have easy embedding and unlimited dvd/hd videos.
@saintseminole: Not that I doubt you, but I haven't seen that in years. Like five to ten years.
I tried FlickrEdit a while back and didn't have a lot of luck with it. I got lots of errors after downloading a few gigs. I ended up scrapping the whole project and moving to SmugMug.
Saw this on BB and am eager to try it. I've been reading with 1234 all afternoon, but like jupiterthunder, I'm a bit skeptical. If nothing else, though, it's a reminder to read faster, since my biggest problem is forgetting that I'm trying to read quickly.
I'm sure someone else said this, but "we" is first person, not third person.
