@Tye-The-Czar: I'm not necessarily saying it was IW or Activision that wanted to push forward in that direction. I couldn't really say to be honest.

@AgamemnonV2: Well gee, where to begin? Valve apologetic? Dude you're pretty much just tarring me here out of rage.
@darkboy1200: At this point all the updates aren't even out yet, PC or not. Therein lies the problem.
@-MasterDex-: I'll largely side with Dex on this one. Didn't buy it either, I tried it during the recent free weekend, ran into a hacker in the first hour. Yay. Well maybe I was mistaken, but I'm not sure it's supposed to be raining care packages every few seconds.
@Nulls:
@somarix:
@Lanhoj: Why not?
@Dereck Goolsby-Bearsong: Yes, because as we all know, the Mac is NOT a computer that you can simply write programs for, and Valve aren't allowed to port marketplaces like Steam over to it.
@oby: I'm pretty certain by this stage he could make a comment in praise of kittens and people would view it as a slur against the PS3 and its lack of kitten based games.
@dethklokso: I love how this is pegged as somehow Gabe Newell being deliberately antagonistic to the PS3 community.
@Koztah: This? This right here? THIS is the reason you WATCH the interview first before commenting.
@-MasterDex-: Why watch the interview when Kotaku can tell you who to rage at without any fuss?
@lochoko: He was asked why Valve games are coming to the Mac and not the PS3. The answer IS Steam. If you have to expend your resources in one of those two areas, you do so in the one that gets you the most profit and without having to hire on an entirely new staff to deal with the new architecture.
@oby: Who Gabe Newell? Seriously dude, exactly WHAT in his statements was hate filled?
@dethklokso: No, you just want to believe that, instead of understanding there are solid financial reasons for Valve not to port it at this time. It was more financially viable to expend effort porting Steam to the Mac than trying to port simply a few games onto the PS3. Gabe Newell was asked a question, and he…
@ridgecity: Steam is coming to Mac. Steam wiil NEVER be allowed on the PS3. Hence from Valve's perspective, the MAc is a more open platform than the PS3.
@nipsen: No his point is fairly simple. Valve games are coming to the Mac because STEAM can come to the Mac. Apple is open enough with the platform that they don't mind another marketplace on there.
@jope: Jope: Kindly identify in the interview where he stated that Valve dislikes the PS3 as a platform. Time reference please.
@Steinin: Fairly apt comparison with tabloids. With this he's effectively brought games journalism down to the level of the Daily Mail.
@jdskeleven: Would've been nice if they'd actually, I dunno, cover some of the OTHER things he said in a full hour long interview. Instead of focussing on the inevitable PS3 question, taking it out of context, and putting up a flamebait header for it.
