iFixit kits are a bit on the cheaps side when it comes to quality. A lot of the metal is rather soft. I’ve started collecting Wiha tools as of late and really like them but they are quite more expensive. Would not be surprised if it cost over $300 for the same stuff that is in the one iFixit kit.

You are likely comparing subsidized prices with this phone’s unsubsidized price. Most People like to think the NASA MSL was sent on a mission of scientific inquiry. The truth is that after the rover observed the dastardly things that scientist do to terrestrial probes, it decided to get as far from humans as it could. It wasn’t sent, it escaped.

That seems.... insane. Are they not using stencils or decals for some reason, or a roller for the lines? I saw the roller on a pivot arm for doing the circles, but it looked like some guy was paint the line across that looked to be about 10” thick with a 3” brush. Is this some sort of tradition nonsense?
