The exit in the sketch in question is 157C (St. Mary’s St/Broadway) on I-35. The Merc entered on the N. Main entrance going northbound, which is quite a ways from the St. Mary’s exit. That whole section is the bottom half of the interstate so it’s kind of claustrophobic, and it’s in shadow most of the day. Looks like
