Oh for sure. Rod bearing failure, Vanos sprocket failures, valve adjustments, cooling system failures, and SMG failures are quite common, and that’s in addition to the usual old car stuff like worn suspension components, bad tires, and bad brakes.

WHAT? Name one Mercedes or BMW FWD car built before the 21st century. Even a lot of the Datsuns and Toyotas back then were RWD. GM was a leader in FWD, sure it was with the huge Toronado, which was nothing like Honda FWD set up, which had more in common with a Mini.
