The 818 uses a WRX powertrain. They might have a Ford motor option though. I seem to remember seeing a video about them working directly with Ford on some newer motor options for various vehicles.
The styling looks 15 years old. If they are going to make a new car that looks old, they should just go all out and make something with giant chrome bumpers and tail fins.
