I remember seeing a decent number of kit cars out and about in the 70's. There is a guy near me that has a Bradly GT that I see every now and again in the Spring/Summer. There are also a couple of Cobra kit cars that are kicking around. Other than those, I rarely ever see any kit cars actually functional anymore.
It’s honestly been a little baffling to me why fully-electric trucks are not more of a thing, given that EVs have instant torque and the fact that trucks are mostly used for short trips
