Not sure if you paid attention to what I wrote. I kinda specifically addressed this point of view. Like, it was the entire point of my post.

I’ll fully admit, I went into this article thinking, “Oh, this’ll probably be some typical tour buffoonery, dumb guy shit that she misinterpreted.” Whoa. I apologize for even thinking that. If her statement is chronological (not that it should really matter) he was regularly getting her drunk and having sex with her

As my username might clue you in, I might know a thing or two about working in print journalism. Might even have some personal experience. And might even be particularly uptight about shitty writing in journalism. So let me clarify that the sloppy excuse that “Allen is currently filming a movie in which a middle-aged

I was just discussing this with someone - I said it would have been much better had they invited Janet to perform, instead of Justin. If bygones are bygones, then let the bygones start there, especially right now. The other person’s response was “But Janet isn’t as popular as Justin!” Hmmm.... but maybe, just maybe,

It was an example of a phrase being not included in one sentence for the sake of brevity and to avoid redundancy.

That’s a question you still haven’t answered.

Also, you do realize how much conjecture you’re packed into these words:

Why is the comment section filled with assholes who don’t read the comments they’re replying to?

I mean, sure, you could gather a bunch of people and actually protest something for real, like racism, sexual assault, the fucked up health care system, or even global warming — all things that have explicit, pertinent meaning under the ignorant iron fist of Trump. But why do that, when you could just gather together

Allen is definitely a creep, but this article can’t even justify itself. Twice the author writes that the age of the female character is unclear, that she is possibly 21, but then unequivocally states “Allen is currently filming a movie in which a middle-aged man has a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.” The

So I guess that’s solved.

Uh, no. Not at all. It’s more like judging a specific person on their previous actions. The score is based on what else the specific manufacturer has done. But hey, thanks for equating a bad car rating to racism.

The more you say it, the realer it gets. I’m shrinking. Absolutely shrinking.

Boy, you sure got me! Keep sharing witty retorts like that and pretty soon you’ll have an AV Club article about you, too!

Even by mid-’90s standards, that Awards show sketch is pretty racist. I’m not easily offended, but even I can’t even tell what the point of the sketch was, other than to revel in playing stereotypes. It’s not like awards/nominees are a strictly American custom, that someone from another country wouldn’t understand.

Yeah. I’m a big fan of Mr. Show and Arrested Development, but Cross’ standup often just feels like him being an asshole and swinging at low-hanging fruit. I mean, I’m both liberal and an asshole, but I just don’t have time for his thing. So I have an easier time believing he’s just an all-around asshole, rather than

I’ll repeat myself, since it seems like it bears repeating. It’s the *article itself* that seems to push “edginess,” so if some of us are under the impression that we’re supposed to appreciate some sort of “edginess” in Dril, it’s because the author of this article wrote things like:

When I was a little kid, I very clearly remember hearing the “couple in the car and the hook-handed killer” story, told to me as a real event that happened just a couple miles from where I lived. For a while I was certain there was a hook-handed killer on the loose.

I mean, fuck Sean Penn, but Netflix’s response sounds dubious. “Sean Penn was given the opportunity on multiple occasions to participate in ‘The Day I Met El Chapo’ and did not do so” — that can mean he was asked if he’d agree to be interviewed on camera; it doesn’t necessarily mean he was given an opportunity to
