Yeah, I think the biggest takeaway of the trilogy is that there was misdirection in that the entirety of it comprises Peter’s actual origin story, and that doesn’t snap into focus until it’s Aunt May who gives him the with-great-power line.

Morbius 2 is “possible.”
No way. They meant to do that!
I would watch the fuck out of this new trilogy.
Yeah, I mean, I generally like the MCU Spider-Man despite the fact I don’t love the fact that he’s basically junior Tony Stark. It bums me out a bit that a lot of the great things about his character from the comics will simply never make their way to this version of the character but that’s the case with all the MCU…
I remain astounded that we’ve lost more Babylon 5 actors than we have for all the Star Treks combined.
Lindsay Ellis has an excellent three-part YouTube documentary on the subject (A Long-Expected Autopsy, Battle of Five Studios and The Desolation of Warners), although it doesn’t quite cover all the bases and, for legal reasons, there’s a few logical conclusions that can easily be reached but she doesn’t spell out.
I think everyone gets really superstitious about these numbers but there’s obviously no reason why a later entry can’t be better. Many tv shows don’t really find their rhythm until a few episodes into the run. The Mission Impossible and Fast & Furious franchises don’t really hit their groove until their 4th, 5th…
A Peter Parker who’s made it— joined the Avengers, saved the world, been pretty popular— and is now trying to get that back has a lot of potential. Plus, losing his mentor/sponsor with Stark dead and going back to making his own equipment and fighting for them little guy. There’s a lot of potential there.
I can see Lobo possibly working if Gunn does what Marvel did, by which I mean develop an “arm” of the movies to be the Cosmic DC stories.
Well I pray if they gave him the time he needs it would be more the direction/artistic style of The Lord of the Rings and not The Hobbit. From what I understand The Hobbit trilogy took a heavy mental and physical health toll on Jackson since he took over the directorial reigns weeks before filming began. Often times…
You are not wrong. I mean, I enjoyed him as Aquaman far more than I ever expected, but he looks, and Acts, like Lobo.
I think both of them had plenty of time to edit out any overt connections to the DCEU if there were any.
John David Washington would have been the perfect Blade. I love Ali, in fact I think he’s one of the best actors working, but in my head canon, he’s already in the MCU because of Luke Cage.
There is also Blue Beetle in August, which was made under the old regime.
Kang, definitely, that boat has sailed. Disney is just waiting for the court case to proceed before they can fire him to cover their butts since Majors has threatened to sue if they fire him. I think it’s too early to call what’s going to happen with Namor, that story has just emerged, there are no active criminal…
The only reason people are leaving disappointed is because they’ve ascribed this genius quality to Star Wars that was never there. The franchise has always been hokey and badly-to-OK written. The movies are fun, but it’s not Shakespeare and I’m not sure when or why we all started thinking that they were.
People are…
youre in luck. you can just start over with Bumblebee since its the start of the new series of movies. other than Bumblebee being a Camaro and talking via the radio it was a soft reboot.
I just hope that Superman & Lois ends better than the Flash did. Once it’s over, I probably won’t watch anything on The CW.
Pretty surprised about Superman & Lois getting a season 4. And honestly, 10 episodes isn’t all that “abbreviated” from the usual 13 episodes. I guess Superman is close enough to a godlike savior figure for the new CW brass to let him continue.
