Preacher is still a pretty good starting place, especially for anyone who assumes comics are only kid-friendly superhero stuff!
Oh yeah, Fables is huge, I was just impressed you managed to list the series in the same order I read them! Then again, perhaps I just took the ideal ‘introductory’ path!
You’ve pretty much listed the series that got me into comics, in the order I read them. Just stick Fables between Preacher and Y.
Are they from the Midlands, by any chance? I’m trying to parse exactly what accent that could be and the best I’m coming up with is Brummie!
I think a lot of people’s opinions on Iron Man 3 comes down to what they thought of the Mandarin twist.
I love that She-Hulk run so much.
Endgame is the reward for sitting through Thor 2.
1. Publishers can remove games from digital stores with little to no warning. Scott Pilgrim and Alan Wake say ‘hi’.
Day one DLC. Just $4.99
Counterpoint - the plot is bullshit fanwank with a central idea so cliched it would get kicked off most fan fiction sites.
I love that this shitstorm is happening literally 24 hours after CD Prokect Red finally released the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo to the public, with repeated assertions that “this is a demo that is already using an older build of the game, a game that is unlikely to come out for two or more years. As far as I know he was hired by IGN purely off the back of his YouTube channel. I wonder if this is what happens when companies hire ‘personalities’ with no formal journalistic education, just bumping them up to the big leagues without any sort of apprentice/trainee experience.
This is a stereotype that’s always bugged me, so I feel that I should just point out - in Britain we don’t have ‘bad’ teeth - most people will go to the dentist once or twice a year. What we don’t tend to do is go in for orthodontics as much as Americans. Which means you’ll see more people with crooked teeth than…
Remind me how “Arkansas” is pronounced...?
Yep, everyone I’ve heard talk about them here says ‘ness’ and ‘sness’. It’s weird for me to hear Americans on podcasts spelling out the acronyms.
