Yay! I'd forgotten about this comment but it's nice to get the follow up! I'm glad you enjoyed Cap. I think the test for me was that I was happy to watch it again, whereas most of the other Marvel films I'd watch if I caught them on TV, but I'm not bothered about hunting them out.

If it had happened eight or nine times in the space of a decade then maybe. And he wasn't 'bitching' about the friend zone. He was asking what he could change about himself to avoid falling into the same pattern again, which is about the most mature way of dealing with a problem.

Neither of us can know whether he still wanted to sleep with those girls or not, but it certainly sounds like they reached a level of emotional attachment. I know I'd be pretty upset if a friend I had reached that level of emotional connection to just upped and ditched me, regardless of gender.
