The Maeve storyline is so bad that I think it's the reason they decided to mess around with timelines for the other characters. The timeline business distracts us from seeing the ridiculousness of a host becoming superwoman pretty much overnight.

Yes, I think Dolores is Wyatt.

The fact that nothing connects William with MIB is the main reason for suspecting they are the same person. There is no other reason for William's story to exist.

Have there ever been this few comments on a TWD episode here? I looked back through random episodes in past seasons, and the lowest number I saw before this episode was 937. There seem to be usually around 1500, at least.

The palindrome of Bolton is Notlob.

He was getting better, I thought, over the last couple of seasons. But from this season's premier he's been just terrible.

I have never actually experienced that, but that doesn't mean your experience isn't the more common one.

It bothers me a bit that they are third person, though.

My theory right now is that when we are seeing from William's POV we are in the past and when we are seeing from Dolores's POV we are in a flashback she is having as she retraces her journey in the present time. It isn't that present time Dolores has "dropped out" out of the story. We are still with her, but she's in

A few scenes in this episode were set up to show us that Dolores isn't always with William when she thinks she is. If it turns out that she is retracing her journey with William in the present point on the timeline, then it could be that she's actually on her own, in the present, when she has that flashback. I think

I meant the acting, though.

In the first or second episode Maeve was taken out of commission for a bit because she wasn't effectively attracting men at the brothel. That episode gave the impression that little, nuanced things like this were monitored; there was a sense that every aspect of the park was overseen, that all the storylines were

Yeah, I don't get why people are placing so much stock in that "we have five seasons planned out" business. First of all, who knows how true it is? And secondly, who knows what "planned out" really means? Penny Dreadful was also supposedly planned out for five seasons and it went off the rails in its third season. So,

A couple of comments up you talked about how people show anger and contempt toward you. Do you not see that you start it by littering your comments with words like "nitwit"?

Worse than Felix and Sylvester?

It's partly because the actor has two facial expressions: Hapless and Full of Wonder. Which isn't enough for an audience to fill in as much about his motivations as the show apparently needs it to.

Hey, Dave, if you stick around the AV Club you'll discover that shows that teeter on the edge of being good or bad tend to have two or three fanatical defenders who try to shut down every negative or even questioning comment. You ran into the main Westworld defender.

When the definitions of "racism" and "sexism" get to the point where you have to understand a lot of academic discourse to follow them, people without PhDs are going to stop feeling ashamed of being called those things and are going to start to get angry at the people who made them feel ashamed in the first place.

"Dog-whistling' has gotten way too overused. When someone says it now I generally think they mean "You've said something I disagree with so it must be some racist thing."

You just got PCed. So meta.
