Yeah, I thought that a bit odd, too.

Or like how people "google" for stuff on Bing.
link to article about Shane Acker licensing Source engine.
Shane Acker, the guy who directed the movie, "9," is using the Source Engine to make a movie called, "Deep." They plan to scale-down the assets and use them for a game tie-in, as well.
I'm sure it was multiple things. SW:TOR not doing as well as CEOs needed/demanded, and Zeschuk not wanting to be Austin for the rest of his life. I also wonder how long Dr. Ray will stay in charge of BioWare Mythic. I have no doubt the guys are loving what they're doing at these studios, but it would be crazy to think…
So, they have the Coin Jump, Wall Jump, Double Jump, and Platform Jump, but no mention of the fabled Rocket Jump?
Luckily, I was able to try the free beta weekend. I disliked it so much that I immediately knew I wasn't going to pre-order after just 3 hours of gameplay. It wasn't terrible, but there were a lot of problems. My biggest complaint was the way enemies would spawn and just stand there, even though I was just a few steps…
Well, it was specifically done in response to Notch saying that he loves playing TF2 and that no one ever believes that it's actually him when he plays. Also, he's Notch. Love him or hate him, he's become kind of a big deal in the gaming world.
The Medics on both teams were pros. The Sucker did a pretty amazing job and really showed some skill. Excellent ubersaw usage, blocking the capture, and repeated simultaneous multi-ubers. Things might have been a bit more stagnant if they didn't have pros managing the medical duties.
The TF2 Blog actually refers to them as community celebrities, which I think is pretty accurate.
He's made a bunch of really good vids for quite some time. He's become a bit more well known recently for his latest web series, Video Game High School. It's may not be up to everyone's taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed VGHS and can't wait for the second season.
Oh, and one tip from the start: holding down the fire button with the Demoman's sticky bomb launchers will cause it to charge up and be able to launch further. A lot of people either don't know or forget about this. It can be a great way to stay in your own backline and still be able to launch stickies far enough to…
It depends, but for the most part players are pretty tolerant. Since TF2 went F2P there's been a constant influx of newbies, so I think most pub players are used to some people not knowing what to do.
True that. Personally, I'd rather have the option than not. My buddy's Oblivion game on the 360 froze him in a chair with one quest left to complete. If only there were consoles commands on consoles...
No TV and no beer make Homer something something...
Yeah, I get your point, but it does come across as "the PC version is the lesser version because it's so easy to cheat, and that ruins the experience." I've always thought Kotaku to be console-centric, but I imagine the large PC response is probably because a post about the PC is going to naturally draw the PC crowd's…
EVERYONE knows GIF is the SUPERIOR image format!
I'm not arguing against that. I do think MC Chris went a bit overboard, but it's his show and he can do it if he wants. "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to! Cry if I want to!"
It also affects AAA devs.
Because you can't use controllers on the PC. And sitting on the couch and looking at a TV is just way too radically different from sitting in a chair and looking at a monitor. And playing at any other time and day other than Saturday morning is a travesty.
