@Zidago: Tried playing Gears 2 lately? Hardly ever find a game. Proof that shooters are dying on consoles!

So, that explains why whenever I go to play TF2 or L4D that there's never ever a single other person online.

@James McDonnell: Thing is, after talking to many of his good friends, many of them had no idea he drank that much on a regular basis. They all thought it was a "once in a blue moon" kind of deal, or just him really partying it up. He was able to hide most of his issues. Some people knew, but most did not.

@ieatchocolate: In the words of Uncle Tupelo, "well, you just keep moving on, that's what it's all about."

@battra92: I'm really sorry to hear about your fiancee's friend. I hope her and her friend's mother someday get the closure they need. Although, with something like that I don't think you ever really get closure. There's no way you can ever answer all of the questions.

@rickster999: I'm sorry to hear about your one friend. I'm glad to hear that your other friend is seeking help. It's not easy and I wish them and you all of the best.

Thank you very much to everyone for all of the kind words. It's been a very intense and mess-up few days.

One of my roommates just killed himself. I'm not kidding. This is 100% not a joke. The Fire Dpt, literally, just finished helping bring the body down to be loaded into the hearse.

@Prinny1God: I don't know what s/he's on. The game runs fine on my system, which is somewhere in the mid-range (except for my CPU, which is minimum). I run at medium settings @ 1600x1200.

@bluebogle: It is the way the industry is going. It all extends from Intel's idea of the Larrabee GPU.

Well, Fable 3 is going to have cross-platform, so that's a start. It would be nice if MS would put stuff on Steam. I might buy a boxed copy of Fable 3, but I won't bother buying from the MS marketplace. I did that with the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3 and it took FOREVER to download, chugging along at just over

@BobTurkey: If only there was a teammate named Tiny Danzer...

@Surturius: Basically, that Hollywood "slices" small elements of games to lure in the gamer crowd, then just makes up and bunch of typical Hollywood-style crap for all of the rest. Rather than staying true to the source material, they selectively take bits and then make up the rest, resulting in a piece that bears

@Dynosaulo: Have you tried Gamefly? It's like Netflix, but for games. If having a credit card is an issue, you can go to any Wal-Mart or major grocery store and buy a Visa gift card. They work just like any credit card, although you will have to go and register the card to your name and address (for online

@DaMaJaDiZ: I was just kidding around. :) It's been years for me, too. I had to jog my brain for a bit, as I thought it was Nei from Phantasy Star II at first. (the moons/planets in the background reminded me of the splash screen).

@jampe: "If any other country did that,"

@fanboyps3: Because there sure seems to be a limited number of people interested in the same type of multiplayer "modern" setting warfare FPS games and generic WWII games. *sigh*

@Pangea: I don't know how legit this poster is or not, but... "Word around the office was that it was slated to be a $100 million dollar project,"
