@potatojenkins: Actually, making a box with a few things in it is easy to do. The reason why the toolkits are so robust is because it's the same stuff that the devs use. If you want to make a top quality map, you're gonna have to put some time into it. If you just want a killbox, you can do that fairly easy.

@Kenny: Same. If I were to build my system now, it would probably cost about $500. That's everything but the monitor. And, actually, I got both my 23" and 22" CRTs for free. :)

@Tien Pham: It ain't over yet, man. There's the writing portion after this.

@lihimsidhe: Not if you know how to do it right.

@robotoboy20: I think it is specifically because they want to take the winner out with them to bars and stuff. It would kind of suck to win the prize and then have to sit at the hotel or whatever while the Kotaku crew goes and parties it up, wouldn't it?

@Matt0505: It totally does, though. When you screw up your ollie and wipe out, it launches you off, face-forward, just like in real life!

@Platypus Man: Pretty easy to do. I wonder how many people messed up on Totilo's, though. It's easy to enter his second article instead of his first if you don't look carefully.

@ithyphallus: Technically, since drinking laws vary from state to state, you don't have to be 21 in order to legally drink in the USA. However, 21 is the "no-brainer" federal guideline for the sale of alcohol.

@Wainut: Also, Vista is great now, but when it first launched? Well, let's just say it took some time to fill out its clothes.

@homernoy: More than I can say for most game companies.

@Paradox me: The PS3 supports M/KB controls for games. So, yes, an RTS on the PS3 could run using M/KB.

@Zimmbous: Yes, they are. My PC isn't exactly a gaming powerhouse and I'll still be able to crush this game. Not that I mind, of course.

@MrBionic: Same with the Sega Genesis. Still have it. Not quite the same abuse, but I did accidentally step on it a few times and angrily threw some controllers at it. Still works like a charm, though a few of those controllers weren't quite as fortunate...

@Komrade Kayce: While I would LOVE to see MGS4 on another platform (MGS3 for PC pls?), there is one major factor that could cause a serious pause at the idea of porting MGS4 to the 360: DVDs.
