The neat thing about this is that the sides are adjustable and pop off, so with a minimum of effort it should fit nearly anything.

To be fair, this will work quite a bit better for anything later than NES emulators.

I'm not very knowledgeable about blanks, but as far as I can tell it varies pretty widely, from what's typically called blank powder which burns a lot faster or some sort of pistol powder. Apparently it was even used for explosive filler in WWII hand grenades. It should be somewhere close to the same power overall…
