This is why USB C is so great -- ONE PORT to do it all. I dont know why mac users keep moaning about “dongles”. You need only one. Maybe not this exact one, but there are dozens to choose from with tons of configs. Gone are the days of unplugging 5 things before you need to leave. Ugh.

Not a defender, I use both. iMacs use “flash” based drives. a typical SSD gets 500 MB/s read/writes but the flash drive is mdot.2 -- 2000 MB/s read/write speeds. Huge.
