    Same thought here. Moved to Asus Chromebox with openelec 6 months ago and that thing rocks! It boots in about 10 seconds and absolutely no lag in Kiddy...Kodi.

    Depends what distro you throw at it, but if you go with any of the standard Noobs systems, yes, you get a GUI. Usually a little bit of commandline is involved, often to get the network up and running.

    Good point. There are so many remotes out there and you can spend anywhere from 5 to 500$. I started off using my DroidX, then iPhone. Problematic if you are in an environment where you don't control the network (Hotel, Work, etc.)

    I got concerned after reading a couple of articles from Sascha Pallenberg last year regarding Adblock Plus' policy on "Acceptable Ads" and moved to Adblock Edge. (Articles are in German on heise.de and mobilegeeks.de.)
