The Panther Jihad doesn’t scare me do you think the Wagon Fanboys hold a candle to them

How do you know when someone is a vegan?

I quit a couple years ago too. Like you, I made dipping part of everything I thought was fun. At some point I decided to start cutting down on some of the triggers (first I stopped trying to have one after every meal, then I cut out driving less than an hour some place, etc. golf and drunk xbox were the last two to

Quitters never win

God, nothing worse than trying to complete your Masters in Public Health, and getting so fucking used to putting in a lip every time you needed to read an extra hundred pages, or buckle down and get some writing done, but you need to keep it a NATIONAL SECURITY LEVEL SECRET from everyone you know, including your

What method did you use to quit? Been trying to stop off and on for about a year now. Obviously what works for one person won’t work for all, but I like to get other people’s opinion who have successfully kicked the can.

I’ve luckily never been addicted to nicotine, but have you considered sunflower seeds to substitute for the physical act? I strangely developed a sunflower seed habit for quite a while where I would always have a cheek full while sitting at my desk at work, especially in the afternoon. I went through so many I started

Especially video games for me. I still sometimes feel myself reaching for a tin when I turn on my Xbox.

If it’s the oral fixation you’re having the toughest time fighting, replace the tobacco with gum. You’ve still got something to gnaw on and instead of getting little brown leaf flecks lodged between your teeth and gums for everyone you speak with to enjoy, you have minty-fresh breath.

Also, my buddy used spearmint

I’ve tried and failed many times. It’s the habit of having that pinch in your lip that’s the real issue. We’re addicted to the physical act as much as the nicotine. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone more than a week (the key time for the nicotine addiction) only to fall back into the trap lol

Try drinking coffee. There’s nothing better than sipping on a tall travel mug of good coffee on the way to work. obviously your mileage may vary, but as far as driving habits are concerned it’s pretty harmless.

Yea I used to dip when I was in the military. I got into it because similar to baseball it’s a culture thing and because I needed something to do when I would be standing on post from balls to 2 or balls to 4. After I got out I just stopped.

Smoking is the same. You have to unlearn it and develop a new routine. It’s probably the toughest part of quitting and can take several months to adjust. But it is possible.

Gotta love a good dip when you’re taking a dump. I think that combination is what I miss most.

Fucking driving is the worst. What are you supposed to do if you’re not smoking/chewing? Legitimately.

Long drives and video games.

I’d take up chewing too if 90% of the game time was spent doing fuck-all.

Yeah I at some point had to abandon the idea that “I just dip at night as part of my routine to relieve stress” and start thinking “hmm it’s been 5 years of this and I’ve gone from 1 to 3 tins a week. Maybe I should just cut it out.”

The “everything’s better with a dip” mentality is what made quitting so hard. It becomes something you do while working, driving, or being outside, and everything reminds you of that sweet, sweet dip. I smoked and dipped and it was 10x harder to quit dip.

Per Colorado sports talk radio the hosts wanted Tebow back, but they also suggested Muhammad Ali acts that way he does because of CTE. And now I listen to the other sports radio station on the drive home.
