Jews have been targeted for oppression and murder for practically their entire existence in history, unparalleled by any other demographic, and for the fucking life of me I’ve never understood WHY, and how people don’t recognize the warning signs of it every time anti Semitic beliefs rear their brutal, ugly head. 

But what’s wrong with us backing them because our interests line up and it’s nice to have a staunch ally in the Mid East? That’s literally the entire purpose of diplomacy. People tend to have a lot of sympathy for Israel due to that whole thing where they were hung out to dry in the 30’s and 40’s. 

I mean, it’s not difficult to take the side of Israel vs. people who historically have been blind firing rockets at civilians and blowing up buses full of people.
