Hey, you try quantifying "our movie sucked and no one liked it" into a spreadsheet! There's no accounting for taste…literally.

I initially hoped it was Ian McShane, until I realized that a movie where an Ian McShane character goes on a "drunken rampage" wouldn't be a comedy - it'd be a violent disaster film.

I think the problem is that after The Lone Ranger (and Wild Wild West before that), I have to assume that any studio head who suggests a revisionist western tentpole release is immediately fired and/or executed.

I liked the idea of the old Sadie ending just fine. It's a nice, low-key resolution that's uplifting without being saccharine. But I just didn't feel much of an emotional response to its portrayal on the show. The same goes for the alternate future thing - but to a lesser extent, because I'm a complete sucker for AU
