from what I’ve seen the higher end late 2014s/15 it was included, (the Vrods were anyway) and then not long after the fobs have been standard for most, if not all bikes.

for sure, I don’t know if I have ever really seen them at the dealer without the keys attached at the handlebars or on the bike somewhere.
